    5. The Adobe Acrobat .PDF format, for both text and drawings, can be read by your Web browser if it has the free add-on linked below. This format displays and prints out very well. Many other documents are also available over the Web in this format and about 90% of our requests are for .pdf.

    If you have CAD software it will be able to read only certain types of drawing formats. Three common types are .DWG, .DXF, and .SKF. If you can read one of these, you may select that format.
