How I wish that I could visit each of you individually on this Festive Day of Equinoxial Fecundity. However, I have signed up for a fabulous week-long retreat here in Santa Fe, to be hosted by my dear friend Pascal E. Rabbit. The thing kicks off this morning with a Meet-and-Sweets at Bishop's Lodge. The Wish-Fairies have turned me out for the occasion in an Empire-cut Egg-Blue Gossamer Gown, Spangled with Pansies and Girdled (the Outside kind of course- the Inside is an Instrument of Torture Her Kindliness would never Dream of wearing in a Thousand Years) with a chain of Daffodils, the latter a gift from the Humble Scribe's garden. There is a lovely green Cloak to go with it, in various shades of Moss and trimmed with princess pines, so naturally I am feeling as giddy as a young girl of three hundred. I haven't yet decided which workshop to attend. Perhaps the Tree-Top Shape-Singing, there ought to be simply Fleets of Robins there and they are always Delightful as they Know Everyone and are feeling especially Perky and Gossipy right about now. But of course the Shaggy Bears are hosting their Wake-Up-and-Eat Ashtanga Sun-Salute and Egg-Hunt Buffet again this year. They do put on a lovely spread, what with the Honey Grub Smoothies and the Salmon Sushi. Yes, the Bears are delightful, but sometimes a *wee* bit grumpy, before they eat and do their Asanas that is. There was that Unfortunate Incident at last year's conference when some of the Sleepier Bears mistook their Guest Speaker for an Appetizer. The Robins would never make that kind of mistake, they are far too Observant and besides they are so Full of News and General Puckishness that a Person might starve before anyone gets around to actually eating anything. Even then their Ground-Buffets, although full of Fiber, do leave one feeling a just trifle- Peckish. But the Music! Undoubtedly Celestial. So, which should be, Oh My J-List and the Delight of My Eyelashes? Should the Djinni attend- The Diet of Worms? Or Pick-A-Quick Basket with Yogic Bears? Yours Ever-Lovingly, The Djinni
