Hello- I wonder, though, if we might all agree that Limbaugh's comment
was tasteless and baseless? The argument over whether or not he was
"right" or whatever is absurd. I also notice Limbaugh's usual strategy
of uttering some flagrantly offensive statement and then
"apologizing." The apology never has the same impact as the original
statement. I'm thinking in particular of his over the top comment
about Donovan McNabb.


The questions in medical ethics around stem cell research are rather
subtle and have far-reaching implications. As usual Limbaugh brings
almost total heat and next to zero light to an issue Americans ought
to be giving serious thought to. His weapons of mass distraction have
succeeded even here on the J-List, where kneejerk ideological
positions usually take a back seat to well-reasoned, thoughtful
discourse. haha.
