Richard S. Martin was the son of Jerry E. Martin and Martha Jean Staley. He was born July 1891 in New Jersey, probably in Stillwater Township, Sussex County and died 1938. Richard is also referenced as "Richmond" in early documents. He married Bessie E. Wilgus in about 1916. She was born 1894 in Pennsylvania and died 1932. They are buried in Stillwater Cemetery on the south edge of the village of Stillwater, Stillwater Township, Sussex County, New Jersey. The photograph was taken 14 April 2005 by Esther Doyle Read.
