LOUISE L. MARTIN LOSEY6
1246. LOUISE L. MARTIN6 (Jerry E. Martin5, Benjamin F. Martin4, Lydia Read3, John Read2, Joseph Read1) was born 17 September 1900 in New Jersey, probably in Stillwater Township, Sussex County and died 30 June 1989, in Martin County, Florida (Florida Death Index; Social Security Death Index (gives birth date as the 16th); Stillwater Cemetery). In 1910, she lived with her parents, siblings and Aunt Anna Staley on the family farm in Stillwater Township and attended school (1910 United States Federal census, Enumeration District 184, Stillwater Township, Sussex County, New Jersey, sheet 8A, 4 May 1910). Her mother died between 1910 and 1920. Louise appear on the the 1920 census as a resident of her widowed father's household. Her Aunt Anna was keeping house for the family. The Martins lived on a dairy farm in Stillwater township (1920 United States Federal Census, Stillwater Township, Sussex County, New Jersey, Enumeration District 141, sheet 1B, 5 January 1920).
In 1920, Louise married Willard James Losey, the son of William and Helen Losey. He was born 29 July 1899 in New Jersey, probably in Stillwater Township, Sussex County and died 30 December 1977, probably in Newton, Sussex County, New Jersey (1900 United States Federal Census, Enumeration District 175, Stillwater Township, Sussex County, New Jersey, sheet 2A, 4 June 1900; Social Security Death Index; Social Security Death Index). Willard was a World War I veteran. He served as a private in the United States Army. By 1930, Louise and Willard were renting a home in Stillwater Township for $10 a month. Willard worked as a laborer in a creamery. Louise's aunt, Anna M. Staley lived with the family and probably continued to help with the household chores, just as she had helped her sister (Louise's mother), Jeanie Staley Martin (1930 United States Federal Census, Enumeration District 19-26, Stillwater Township, Sussex County, New Jersey, sheet 7A, 11 April 1930). Willard resided in Newton, New Jersey at the time of his death in 1977 (Social Security Death Index). Louise died in Martin County, Florida in 1989 (Florida Death Index; Social Security Death Index; Stillwater Cemetery). They are buried in Stillwater Cemetery, Stillwater, Stillwater Township, Sussex County, New Jersey.
Louise Martin and Willard Losey had at least 4 children. Total identified descendants equals 4.

LOSEY7, was born 30 September 1924 in New Jersey, probably in Stillwater Township, Sussex County and died 21 July 1980 in Leon County, Florida (Florida Death Index; Social Security Death Index). In 1930, lived with his parents Stillwater Township (1930 United States Federal Census, Enumeration District 19-26, Stillwater Township, Sussex County, New Jersey, sheet 7A, 11 April 1930).
3308. (iv.) ESTELLE L. LOSEY7, was born circa 1927 in New Jersey, probably in Stillwater Township, Sussex County. She appears on the 1930 census as age 3 years and 3 months. She lived in Stillwater township with her parents, older siblings and Great-Aunt Anna Staley (1930 United States Federal Census, Enumeration District 19-26, Stillwater Township, Sussex County, New Jersey, sheet 7A, 11 April 1930).
