2237. GEORGE B. MESSLER,5 (Maria Catherine Kinney4, Catherine Read3, Aaron Read2, Joseph Read1) was born 1872 in Blairstown Township, Warren County and died 1920 in New Jersey (Ramseyburg Cemetery). He lived with his parents in Walnut Valley, Blairstown Township in 1880 and attended school (1880 United States Federal Census, Blairstown Township, Warren County, New Jersey, page 289B, 10 June 1880). George married circa 1883, Lizzie K. Cook. She was born 1865 in New Jersey and died 1939 (Ramseyburg Cemetery). In 1910, George and Lizzie Messler lived on Lane Street in Delaware, Knowlton Township, Warren County, New Jersey. George was a general farmer and Lizzie was employed as a farm laborer on the home farm. They owned their farm, but it was mortgaged. The couple's three children lived with them (1910 United States Federal Census, Knowlton Township, Warren County, New Jersey, enumeration district 133, sheet 1A, 15 April 1910). The couple still lived on their farm in Knowlton Township in 1920. Their son Elmer had moved out of the house, but Minnie and Harry were still at home (1920 United States Federal Census, Enumeration District 161, Knowlton Township, Warren County, New Jersey, page 6B, 14 January 1920). George Messler died shortly after the 1920 census was taken, he was 47 or 18 years old. He was buried in Ramseyburg Cemetery in Knowlton Township, Warren County, New Jersey. In 1930, Lizzie lived in Knowlton Township in Delaware. Her youngest son Harry lived with her. Harry was still single. He continued to work his family's farm (1930 United States Federal Census, Enumeration District 21-13, Knowlton Township, Warren County, New Jersey, page 2B, 5 April 1930). Lizzie Cook Messler died in 1939 and was buried with George in Ramsey burg Cemetery.

2672. (i.) NORMAN G. MESSLER6, was born 12 June 1885 (according to his grave stone) in New Jersey and died 9 May 1888, aged 2 years, 10 months and 22 days. He was buried in Buttsville Methodist Episcopal Cemetery, Buttsville, White Township, Warren County, New Jersey. His grave stone states that he was the son of George B. and Lizzie K. Messler.
2378. (ii.) ELMER MESSLER6, was born circa 1896 in New Jersey and died unknown. In 1910, Elmer lived with his parents in Delaware, Knowlton Township, Warren County, New Jersey and attended school (1910 United States Federal Census, Knowlton Township, Warren County, New Jersey, enumeration district 133, sheet 1A, 15 April 1910). He married circa 1916, Bessie E. (Last Name Unknown). She was born circa 1897 in New Jersey. Elmer and Bessie lived in New Jersey during the early years of their marriage. Between 1925 and 1929, the family moved from New Jersey to East Stroudsburg Borough, Monroe County, Pennsylvania. Elmer was employed as a house painter in 1930. He and Bessie were renting a house for $30 a month at 330 North Monroe St. in East Stroudsburg. The family owned a radio (1930 United States Federal Census, Enumeration District 45-6, East Stroudsburg Borough, Monroe County, Pennsylvania, sheet number 5A, 4 April 1930). In 1930, he lived with his parents at 330 North Courtland St. in East Stoudsburg, Monroe County, Pennsylvania and attended school (1930 United States Federal Census, Enumeration District 45-6, East Stroudsburg Borough, Monroe County, Pennsylvania, sheet number 5A, 4 April 1930).
2678. (ii.) H. BLAIR MESSLER7, was born 3 August 1918 in New Jersey and died February 1987 in Pennsylvania (Social Security Desth Index 179-16-2683). In 1930, he lived with his parents at 330 North Courtland St. in East Stoudsburg, Monroe County, Pennsylvania and attended school (1930 United States Federal Census, Enumeration District 45-6, East Stroudsburg Borough, Monroe County, Pennsylvania, sheet number 5A, 4 April 1930). According to the Social Security Death Index, he resided in East Strodsburg at the time of his death.
2679. (iii.) BETTY S. MESSLER7, was born circa 1921 in New Jersey and died unknown. In 1930, she lived with her parents at 330 North Courtland St. in East Stoudsburg, Monroe County, Pennsylvania and attended school (1930 United States Federal Census, Enumeration District 45-6, East Stroudsburg Borough, Monroe County, Pennsylvania, sheet number 5A, 4 April 1930).

2379. (iii.) BELINDA "MINNIE" MESSLER6, was born circa 1902 in New Jersey and died unknown. In 1910, she lived with her parents in Delaware, Knowlton Township, Warren County, New Jersey and attended school (1910 United States Federal Census, Knowlton Township, Warren County, New Jersey, enumeration district 133, sheet 1A, 15 April 1910). Minnie lived at home with her parents in 1920. She did not attend school and she was not employed outside the home (1920 United States Federal Census, Enumeration District 161, Knowlton Township, Warren County, New Jersey, page 6B, 14 January 1920). She was not a resident of her mother's household in 1930 (1930 United States Federal Census, Enumeration District 45-6, East Stroudsburg Borough, Monroe County, Pennsylvania, sheet number 5A, 4 April 1930).

Harry lived at home with his parents in 1920.
