2279. ABRAM B. MARTIN6 (Jerry E. Martin5, Benjamin F. Martin4, Lydia Read3, John Read2, Joseph Read1) was born 8 March 1892 in New Jersey, probably in Stillwater Township, Sussex County (1900 United States Federal Census, Enumeration District 175, Stillwater Township, Sussex County, New Jersey, sheet 3A, 6 June 1900; 1893 by the Social Security Death Index) and died June 1978 in Morris County, New Jersey (Social Security Death Index). He appears on the 1900 census as a 7 year old boy living with his parents, Grandmother Martin, Aunt Anna Staley and numerous siblings on the family farm in Stillwater Township, Sussex County (1900 United States Federal Census, Enumeration District 175, Stillwater Township, Sussex County, New Jersey, sheet 3A, 6 June 1900). He still lived with his parents in 1910 and attended school (1910 United States Federal census, Enumeration District 184, Stillwater Township, Sussex County, New Jersey, sheet 8A, 4 May 1910). Abram married circa 1912, Lucy J. Yetter. She was born 12 January 1891 in New Jersey and died January 1990 in Morris County, New Jersey (Social Security Death Index). In 1920, Abram and Lucy lived with their daughter Dorothy in Hardyston Township, Sussex County. Lucy's parents, Daniel and Sarah C. Yetter also lived with the family. Abram was employed as a machinist. The family did not own their home, they were renting (1920 United States Federal census, Enumeration District 132, Hardyston Township, Sussex County, New Jersey, sheet 5B, 6 January 1920). By 1930, Abram, Lucy and their daughter Dorothy had moved to Chatham Township, Morris County, New Jersey. Lucy's parents were not with them. Abram was a superintendent on a private estate. The family rented their home, and they owned a radio. They had a boarder, 18 year old Donald Gregor, a native of New Jersey, who worked as a farm hand (1930 United States Federal census, Enumeration District 14-12, Chatham Township, Morris County, New Jersey, sheet 7A, 14 April 1930). Abram died in 1978. He was living in Green Village, Morris County at the time of his death. Lucy's final residence (1990) was in Chatham, Morris County (Social Security Death Index).
Abram Martin and Lucy Yetter had 1 child. Total identified descendants equals 1.
3152. (i.) DOROTHY J. E. MARTIN7, was born between January and April 1914 in New Jersey and died unknown. She appears on the 1920 census as a five year old child living with her parents and Yetter grandparents in Hardyston Township, Sussex County. She was in school in 1920 (1920 United States Federal census, Enumeration District 132, Hardyston Township, Sussex County, New Jersey, sheet 5B, 6 January 1920). In 1930, she lived with her parents in Chatham, Morris County, New Jersey and attended school. The census gives her age as 16 (1930 United States Federal census, Enumeration District 14-12, Chatham Township, Morris County, New Jersey, sheet 7A, 14 April 1930).
