The probate records of Anthony Johnson Kirkhoff are housed in the office of the Surrogate Court of Warren County, New Jersey, which is located in the county court house in Belvidere New Jersey. These records consist of Samuel's inventory, bonds for administration of the estate, and orphan's court minutes detailing the settlement of the estate. I have included a transcript of one of the Orphan's Court Minutes in this section.

Order to limit Creditors

Upon application of Robert A. Kirkhuff and Samuel Read administrators of Anthony J. Kikrhuff deceased, W^m Allhouse Surrogate of the County of Warren on this twenty seventh day of August AD 1862 order & direct that the said executors give public notice to the creditors of the estate of said deceased, to bring in their debts demands and claims against the same under Oath or affirmation within nine months from this time by setting up a copy of this order within twenty days after the date hereof in five of the most public places in said county for the space of two months, and also by advertising the same in the Warren Journal a newspaper of the State for the like space of time, and if any creditor should neglect to bring in and exhibit his or her debt demand or claim, within the time so limited, after public notice given aforesaid such creditors shall be forever baned [sic] of his or her action therefor against such administrators~Given under my hand this date above
