RUTH MAY HARTUNG BAKER LEHR STOPP7

3419. RUTH MAY HARTUNG7 (Charles Gwinnup Hartung6, Hulda Smith5, Elizabeth Read4, Isaac Read, III3, John Read2, Joseph Read1) was born 4 February 1919 in Warren County, New Jersey, possibly in Hope Township and died unknown (Anon 2001; Long Island 2005; Loughborough 2001). Ruth grew up in Hope Township. She appears on the 1920 census as a 5 month old infant living with her parents and older brother Ramon on a rented farm in Hope Township (1920 United States Federal Census, Enumeration District 159, Hope Township, Warren County, New Jersey, sheet 10B). By 1930, Ruth was the eldest Hartung child still living at home. Her parents had purchased a farm in Hope Township. Ruth lived there with her parents, her grandfather Hartung and her two younger siblings—Ralph and Marian (who was an infant). Ruth attended school, as did her younger brother Ralph (1930 United States Federal Census, Enumeration District 21-11, Hope Township, Warren County, New Jersey, sheet 6A, 14 April 1930).

Ruth married three times. Her first husband was W. Walter "Walt" Baker. Walter was born in Belvidere, Warren County, New Jersey on 29 December 1918 and died 30 December 2004 at at Hospice Care Center, Port Orange, Florida. Ruth and Walter had two children together, Constance and Donna. They eventually divorced and Walter remianed in the Belvidere area where he worked as a a public accountant. In 1985, Walter moved to Daytona Beach Florida. According to his obituary:

He was a member of the National Association of Enrolled IRS Agents, the Elks and Masonic Lodges, and Registered Municipals Accountants Association of New Jersey. Mr. Baker enjoyed reading, bird watching and woodworking (New-Journal, 1 January 2005).

Walter was survivied by his companion, Marylou Moncalieri and his two daughters, Connie Baker of Daytona Beach, Florida and Donna Bisher or Roseto, Pennsylvania. Walter was a member of the Community Unitarian Universalist Church in Daytona Beach.

After Walter and Ruth divorced, she married Warren Lehr as her second husband. Her third husband was Clyde Stopp, the son of Elston Robbins Stopp and Mabel Mae "Lizzie" Cool of Harmony Township. Clyde was born 8 July 1913 and died 20 October 1999. He resided in Blairstown, Warren County, New Jersey at the time of his death (Anon 2001; Long Island 2005; Loughborough 2001; Muessig 2002; Social Security Death Index).

3473. (i.) CONSTANCE LEE "Connie" BAKER8, resides in Daytona Beach, Florida (Anon 2001; New-Journal, 1 January 2005; Long Island 2005; Loughborough 2001).

3474. (ii.) DONNA LEE BAKER8, was married twice. Her first husband was Fred Miers (Anon 2001; Long Island 2005; Loughborough 2001). She married second Roy "Kim" Bisher, the son of Russell A. Bisher and Edith M. Hawes. He was born 15 May 1944. He may have grown up in both Baltimore, Maryland and in Northampton County, Pennsylvania. His brother R. Lee Bisher was born in Baltimore in 1933 and graduated from Calvert Hall (in Baltimore) in 1951. Kim's social security number was issued in Pennsylvania between 1959 and 1961. In May 1998, when his brother R. Lee Bisher died, Kim lived in Portland Oregon. Kim died 31 January 2003 (Pocono Record, 28 May 1998; Social Security Death Index). A requiem mass for both Lee and Roy Bisher was offered at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church on 1 February 2004. The mass was offered by their mother Edith Bisher and their brother Stephen Bisher. Our Lady of Good Counsel is located on South 2nd Street in Bangor Northampton County, Pennsylvania (Our Lady of Good Counsel). Donna resides in Roseto, Northampton County, Pennsylvania (New-Journal, 1 January 2005).
