RACHEL PRISCILLA KINNEY WILLIAMS4

360. RACHEL PRISCILLA KINNEY WILLIAMS,4 (Catherine Read Kinnry3, Aaron Read2, Joseph Read1) was born 18 January 1851 in New Jersey (DiPetro 1998c; LDS Batch# 8514203; Newberry c1934) and died 1938 (Williams n.d.). Rachel married, on 3 January 1871, Henry Benjamin "Harry" Williams, the son of John S. Williams and Elya S. Wisbrook. He was born 24 February 1845 in Pennsylvania and died 1923 (Scott-Fritzen 1998). Harry served in the Civil War in the 1st Pennsylvania Light Artillery, Company H. In 1880 Henry and and Rachel resided in Springville Township, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania. The couple did not have children. Harry and Rachel resided in dwelling 282. Rachel's brother Samuel Kinney and his family lived in dwelling 283 (1880 United States Federal Census, Enumeration District 138, Springville, Susqeuhanna County, Pennsylvania, page 418C, 19 and 20 June 1880). According to Scott-Fritzen (1998), Rachel and Harry resided in or near the town of Hopbottom. In 1920, they resided on Center Street in Hope Bottom. They owned their home free and clear of mortgages (1920 United States Federal Census, Enumeration District 81, Hop Bottom Borough, Lathrop Township, Susqeuhanna County, Pennsylvania, sheet 7B, 22 January 1920). Henry was 74 years old and he was retired. By the time of the 1930 census Rachel was a widow. She still lived in the Borough of Hop Bottom. Rachel owned her home, which was valued at $5,000 (1930 United States Federal Census, Enumeration District 58-24, Hop Bottom Borough, Susqeuhanna County, Pennsylvania, sheet 3A, 7 April 1930). Rachel and Harry were buried in Union Cemetery, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania (Williams n.d.).
