LYDIA "JANE" or "JENNIE" KINNEY,4 (Catherine Read Kinnry3, Aaron Read2, Joseph Read1)was born 4 January 1855 in New Jersey (DiPetro 1998c; LDS Batch# C509751; Newberry c1934) and died 1920 (Williams n.d.). Lydia married Thomas L. Giles (Scott-Fritzen 1998). He was born 1853 in Pennsylvania and died 1916 (Williams n.d.). In 1880, Thomas and Jennie (as she is named in the census) lived in Lathrop Township, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania. They had a 2 month old daughter (Minnie) at the time of the census. The family lived in dwelling 213. Jennie's brother Isaac J. Kinney lived in dwelling 216. Isaac's in-laws, John and Julia Johnson, lived in dwelling 214. Thomas and Jennie shared their home with Rufus and Hattie S. Lindley. Rufus Lindley was the head-of-household. The Lindleys had two children, Delmar C. (age 10) and Gertie M. (age 8). Both of these children were in school. Rufus Lindley was a farmer. Thomas Giles worked on the farm. Jennie Giles appears to have done house work for Hattie Lindley (1880 United States Federal Census, Enumeration District 130, Lathrop Township, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania, pages 277C-277D, 22 June 1880). Thomas and Jane are buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Brooklyn, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania (Williams n.d.). Child of Jane Kinney and Thomas Giles:

She appears in the 1880 census as a two month old infant living with her parents in the household of Rufus Lindley (1880 United States Federal Census, Enumeration District 130, Lathrop Township, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania, pages 277C-277D, 22 June 1880).
