Will of A.R. Coursen

W.S. Smith Register.
First, I appoint my two sons M.E. and E.F. Coursen to settle by business, want them to sell all the land north of the publick road and all my personal property and pay all lawful debts and if any mony left after defts are paid, to divide it between them. I also cive M.E. and E.F. Coursen the nots I hold against them.
2. I give and bequeath the farm I live on known as the Johnson place to my two daughters Lizzie O. Coursen and Martha V. Coursen, eaquel between them
3. I give to my son Wm. M.K. Coursen the farm east of rail road known as the Davis place and Wm. MK. Coursen pay to M.E. and E.F. Coursen each Two hundred dollars to be paid in two years after my death without interest.
In witness whare of I, A.R. Coursen have hereunto set my hand and seal this the 8 day of Oct. 1895.

Subscribed by the testator in the presence of each of us and at the same time declared by him to be his last will and testament

Before me, Register of Wills, &c., in and for said County, personally came Mrs. A.D. Hart and W.W. Campbell, the subscribing witnesses to the annexed instrument in writing purporting to be the last will and testament of A.R. Coursen late of South Shenago Twp. deceased, who, upon their oaths say that they were personally present at the execution of the annexed instrument, and saw the said A.R. Coursen sign the same as and for his last will and testament; that they signed the same as witnesses, at this request in his presence and in the presence of each other; at which time the said testator was of sound and disposing mind as they verily believe.

The Last Will and Testement of A.R. Coursen late of South Shenago Township deceased, proved, approved and registered and letters Testamentary theron granted and issued unto M.E. & E.F. Coursen the executors therein named. Said A.R. Coursen died at his residence in South Shenago Township on Thursday Dec 5 1895 at about 2 o'clock AM (see affidavit filed).
