She is buried in Carverton United Methodist Church Yard, Kingston Township, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, there is no death date cut in her stone. She is buried next to her brother Elijah A. Reed (1850 United States Census; Carverton Methodist Church Yard). In his will, Elijah directed "That my body be buried in the old part of Carverton Cemetery beside my sister Sarah Reed Myers" (Will of Elijah A. Reed, Luzerne County Office of Wills, Book 37, page 154). Sarah and Elijah share a joint tombstone. The tombstone was field checked on 2 November 2001, it reads as follows:

The Reeds lived in Dallas Township, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania (United States Federal Census, Dallas Township, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, page 69). Mary J. married (First Name Unknown) Barber. She is buried in Carverton United Methodist Church Yard, Kingston Township, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania. The tombstone was field checked on 2 November 2001 (Carverton Methodist Church Yard). 1395. (i.) FRANK L. BARBER7, was born 1873, in Pennsylvania and died 1956. He married Martha B. (Last Name Unknown). She was born 1874 , in Pennsylvania and died 1946. They are buried in Carverton United Methodist Church Yard, Kingston Township, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, near Elijah Reed, Sarah Myers, Mary J. Myers and the Myers children listed below. The tombstones were field checked on 2 November 2001 (Carverton Methodist Church Yard). Frank L. Myers is named in the 1917 will of Elijah A. Reed. He was to receive one fourth of the balance of Elijah's estate after the estate debts and legacies were paid off (Will of Elijah A. Reed, Luzerne County Office of Wills, Book 37, page 154). Frank and Martha Barber are listed as residents of Luzerne County, Pennsylvania in the 1910 United States Federal Census (ennumeration District 10, Visit 14). In 1920, the Barbers lived in Plains Township, Luzerne County, PA. Frank was a laborer, working for a stone company. Wesley and Joseph also worked for the stone company; Wesley as a laborer and Joseph as a water boy. Frank and Marth's daughter, Carrie was not a resident of the household in 1920. The rest of the children all resided with their parents. Reed and Walter attended school. Lee was still too young to start school (1920 United States Federal Census, Plains Township, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, Enumeration District 172, sheet 1A, 18 January 1920). They are buried in Carverton United Methodist Church Yard, Kingston Township, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, near Elijah Reed, Sarah Myers, Mary J. Myers and Frank and Martha Barber. They share a plot with Henry Orf (whose gravestone is labeled "Father") and Eva M. Orf (whose gravestone is labeled "Mother"). They are buried in Carverton United Methodist Church Yard, Kingston Township, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, near Elijah Reed, Sarah Myers, Mary J. Myers and Frank and Martha Barber. The tombstones were field checked on 2 November 2001 (Carverton Methodist Church Yard). Reed is listed on the 1910 Census as M. Reed Barber, his age was not recorded (1910 United States Census). No middle initial is given in the 1920 census, but his age is listed as 11. Reed's tombstone gives his name as Reed E. Barber. The Social Security Death Index gives his last residence as Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania.
1705. (v.) WALTER MICHAEL BARBER8, was born 1911 and died 1967. He married Alice Baer. She was born 1914 and died 1963. They are buried in Carverton United Methodist Church Yard, Kingston Township, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, near Elijah Reed, Sarah Myers, Mary J. Myers and Frank and Martha Barber.
