Bread Box. Used to work the dough prior to baking the loaf. This box is on display in the Jenny Wade house in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. Jenny was working bread in this box when she was killed by a stray bullet during the Civil War Battle of Gettysburg. Photograph by Esther Doyle Read, July 2003.
