RUZILLA (or DRUZILLA) "ZILLA" TITMAN LINABERRY5

567. RUZILLA (or DRUZILLZ) "ZILLA" TITMAN5 (Malinda Read4, Isaac Read, III3, John Read2, Joseph Read1) was born 6 December 1869 in New Jersey and died after 1930. She grew up on her parents farm outside of Walnut Valley in Blairstown Township (1870 United States Federal Census Blairstown Township, Warren County, New Jersey, page 41B; 1880 United States Federal Census, Enumeration District 191, Blairstown Township, Warren County, New Jersey, page 290C; Beers 1874). Zilla married, circa 1894, Henry "Palmer" Linaberry. He was born December 1867 in New Jersey and died after 1930. In 1900, Palmer and Zilla resided near Walnut Valley, Blairstown Township, Warren County, New Jersey. The couple owned a mortgaged farm. The couple's first two children—Raymond and Pearl—had been born and resided with their parents. Zilla's mother, Malinda Titman, also lived lived with the family. She remainded with them until her death in 1906 (1900 United States Federal Census, Enumeration District 182, Blairstown Township, Warren County, New Jersey, sheet 13A, 26 June 1900; Obituary of Malinda Titman). Zilla was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church in Walnut Valley in 1916. Her daughters, Pearl and Bertha Linaberry were recieved as members of the church that year (Burd 1916). In 1920 the Linaberrys resided on their farm in Blairstown Township. Palmer was engaged in general farming and was an employer. His son Raymond appears to have worked for him, as the 1920 census indicates that he was a wage earning farm laborer. All four of the Linaberry children lived at home in 1920. The Linaberry household was listed in the census as adjacent to the household of Zilla's brother Read Titman (1920 United Sates Federal Census, Blairstown Township, Warren County, New Jersey, Enumeration District 151, sheet 3B, 12 January 1920). In 1930, The Linaberry farm was the 230th dwelling visited by the census taker, while Read Titman's farm was number 271. The Linaberry's owned their farm in 1930. All four Linaberry children lived at home. None of the children was employed in farming, although Palmer was still a farmer (1930 United States Federal Census, Blairstown Township, Warren County, New Jersey, Enumeration District 21-4, sheet 9B, 11 April 1930).

CHILDREN OF ZILLA TITMAN AND PALMER

2597. (i.) RAYMOND A. LINABERRY6, was born July 1896 in New Jersey and died probably before 1962. The 1900 census lists him as a three year old child (1900 United States Federal Census, Enumeration District 182, Blairstown Township, Warren County, New Jersey, sheet 13A, 26 June 1900; Lorenz n.d.). In 1920, he was single and he lived at home with his parents. Raym; Smith 1962ond was employed as a farm laborer, probably on the family farm outside of Blairstown (1920 United Sates Federal Census, Blairstown Township, Warren County, New Jersey, Enumeration District 151, sheet 3B, 12 January 1920). Raymond still resided with his parents on their farm in Blairstown township in 1930. He was employed as something other than a farm laborer, but it is impossible to read the 1930 census in terms of his employment (1930 United States Federal Census, Blairstown Township, Warren County, New Jersey, Enumeration District 21-4, sheet 9B, 11 April 1930). Raymond is not listed as a living descendant of Zilla Titman in Smith's 1962, Yards Creek Folk. He was probably deceased by 1962.

2598. (ii.) PEARL LINABERRY6, was born 25 May 1899 in the Yards Creek area of Blairstown Township, Warren County, New Jersey and died November 1997 in New Jersey. Her last residence was Blairstown (Lorenz n.d; Smith 1962; Social Security Death Index) The 1900 census lists her as a one year old child (1900 United States Federal Census, Enumeration District 182, Blairstown Township, Warren County, New Jersey, sheet 13A, 26 June 1900; Lorenz n.d.). She and her sister Bertha were preparatory members who were received into the First Methodist Episcopal Church of Blairstown, Blairstown Township, Warren County, New Jersey in October, 1916. The Blairstown church had a sister church in Walnut Valley, of which Pearl's mother was a member. It is probable that Pearl was received into the Walnut Valley M.E. Church (Reuther n.d.). In 1920, Pearl was single and resided at home with her parents on their farm outside of Blairstown (1920 United Sates Federal Census, Blairstown Township, Warren County, New Jersey, Enumeration District 151, sheet 3B, 12 January 1920). In 1930, Pearl still lived with her parents on their farm in Blairstown township. She was not employed outside the home (1930 United States Federal Census, Blairstown Township, Warren County, New Jersey, Enumeration District 21-4, sheet 9B, 11 April 1930). She appeared in Smith's 1962, Yards Creek Folk as "Miss Pearl Linaberry." It is assumed that Pearl never married.

2599. (iii.) BERTHA T. LINABERRY6, was born 29 April 1901 in the Yards Creek area of Blairstown Township, Warren County, New Jersey and died 13 July 1992. Her last residence was in Blairstown (Lorenz n.d.; Smith 1962; Social Security Death Index). She and her sister Pearl were preparatory members who were received into the First Methodist Episcopal Church of Blairstown, Blairstown Township, Warren County, New Jersey in October, 1916. The Blairstown church had a sister church in Walnut Valley, of which Pearl's mother was a member. It is probable that Bertha was received into the Walnut Valley M.E. Church (Reuther n.d.). In 1920, Bertha atttended school and resided at home with her parents on their farm outside of Blairstown (1920 United Sates Federal Census, Blairstown Township, Warren County, New Jersey, Enumeration District 151, sheet 3B, 12 January 1920). In 1930, Bertha still lived with her parents on their farm in Blairstown township. She was not employed outside the home (1930 United States Federal Census, Blairstown Township, Warren County, New Jersey, Enumeration District 21-4, sheet 9B, 11 April 1930). She appeared in Smith's 1962, Yards Creek Folk as "Miss Bertha Linaberry." It is assumed that she never married.

2600. (iv.) WALTER JONES LINABERRY6, was born 17 August 1903 in the Yards Creek area of Blairstown Township, Warren County, New Jersey and died 5 August 1995, probably in Burlington County, New Jersey (Lorenz n.d.; Smith 1961,; Social Security Death Index). In 1920, he attended school and resided at home with his parents on their farm outside of Blairstown (1920 United Sates Federal Census, Blairstown Township, Warren County, New Jersey, Enumeration District 151, sheet 3B, 12 January 1920). Walter was employed as a school teacher in 1930. He was single and still lived with his family on their farm in Blairstown township (1930 United States Federal Census, Blairstown Township, Warren County, New Jersey, Enumeration District 21-4, sheet 9B, 11 April 1930). Walter married on 16 June 1938, in Maplewood, Essex County, New Jersey, Eunice Gertrude Bentley. She was born 4 June 1908 in New York City and died 29 January 1994 in Cinnaminson, New Jersey. She was the daughter of Daniel Leroy Bentley and Lucy Cecelia Swift (Anon n.d.; Mack n.d.; Zamora n.d.; Zengerle n.d.). Walter appears to have moved around the county. His social security number was issued to him before 1951 in the state of Colorado. By 1962, he was living in Moorestown, New Jersey (Smith 1962). The Social Security Death Index gives his final residence as Riverton, Burlington County, New Jersey. Children of Walter Linaberry and Eunice Bentley:

2925. (i.) CAROL LINABERRY7, married Unknown Leusner, and had at least six children (Anon n.d.; Mack n.d.; Smith, 1962; Zamora n.d.; Zengerle n.d.).

2926. (i.) JANET LINABERRY7, married Unknown Injinan and had at least one child (Anon n.d.; Mack n.d.; Smith, 1962; Zamora n.d.; Zengerle n.d.).
