What is home without a Father
What are all the joys we meet
When his loving smile no longer
Greets the coming of our feet
The days seem long the nights are dreary
And the time rolls slowly on
And oh how few are childhoods pleasures
When his gentle care is gone
At least one of Anthony and Sallie's children, Mary Adeline, left Hope and migrated to Michigan with her husband Jacob Derenberger (Tavernier, personal communication, 2001).
