Violetta L. Dennis was a daughter of David Wilson Dennis and Sarah Elizabeth Read. She was born 22 December 1865 in Stillwater Township, Sussex County, New Jersey and died 1934. She married Thomas William Thompson, on 30 January 1896 in Brooklyn, New York. He was born 1864 in Ripon, England and died 1941. Thomas was the son of John William and Jennie Thompson. Violetta and Thomas are buried in the Dennis family plot in Stillwater Cemetery in the village of Stillwater, Stillwater Township, Sussex County, New Jeresey.
