ISAAC "LEE" KINNEY5

896. ISAAC "LEE" KINNEY,5(Frederick Marshall Kinney 4, Catherine Read Kinney3, Aaron Read2, Joseph Read1) was born 2 March 1877 in Brooklyn Township, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania and died 5 June 1952 in Brooklyn (DiPetro 1998; Scott-Fritzen 1998). Isaac went by the name of "Lee Kinney." His tombstone is inscribed "I. Lee Kinney" (DiPetro 1998; Williams n.d.) and he is listed on the 1880, 1910 and 1920 census as "Lee Kinney." In 1880, Lee resided with his parents and Grandmother Squire on their farm in Brooklyn Township (1880 United States Federal Census, Enumeration District 118, Brooklyn Township, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania, page 67D, 3 June 1880). He married first in 1899, Virgie Garretson. She was born 1887 in Pennsylvania and died 3 November 1927 (DiPetro 1998b; Scott-Fritzen 1998). In 1910, Lee and Virgie lived with their daughter Lillian in Brooklyn Township. Lee was a farmer. He owned his farm free and clear of all mortgages and leins. The Kinneys lived in dwelling 20. Lee's brother Fred lived in dwelling 19. His first cousin Ida Kinney Davidson lived in dwelling 15 (1910 United States Federal Census, Enumeration District 61, Brooklyn Township, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania, sheet 1B, 16 April 1910). The couple still lived with their daughter Lillian in Brooklyn Township n 1920. According to the census Lee Kinney owned a dairy farm. Neither Vergie or Lillian was employed outside the home. Lee's brother Fred and his first cousin Ida Davidson still lived by. Ida was in dwelling 56, Lee was in dwelling 57 and Fred was in dwelling 58 (1920 United States Federal Census, Enumeration District 64, Brooklyn Township, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania, sheet 3A, 12 January 1920). Vergie died in 1927 and was buried in Evergreen Cemetery in Brooklyn Township (DiPetro 1998; Williams n.d.). Lee married his second wife, Dorothy Melvina Teel, on 6 August 1930. The couple's first child, Lee Alba Kinney had been born earlier in 6 March 1930. Dorothy Teel was the daughter of Oliver Teel and Rosa Ellen Johnson; and she was Lee's second cousin once removed. Both Lee and Dorothy were descendants of Stephen and Margaret (Magee) Squire. Lee's line of descent was through his mother as follows: Stephen Squire1, George Washington Squire2, Catherine Squire Kinney3, Lee Alba Kinney4. Dorothy's line of descent was: Stephen Squire1, Anthony Squire2, Mary Ann Squire Teel3, Oliver Teel4, Dorothy Melvina Teel5. Dorothy was born 28 June 1914 in Springville, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania and died 23 December 1993 in Arvada, Colorado. After Lee Kinney died in 1952, Dorothy remarried (in 1952), Richard H. Miller. He was born 29 December 1926 and died 23 December 1992 in Idlewild, California (Scott-Fritzen 1998). Lee had children by both wives. He and Virgie are buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Brooklyn Township, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania (DiPetro 1998; Williams n.d.).

Lee Kinney and Vergie Garrison had one daughter. Lee had two children by Dorothy Teel. He had at least two grandchildren. Total identified descendants equals 5

CHILD OF ISAAC LEE KINNEY AND VIRGIE GARRISON:

1370. (i). LILLIAN KINNEY6, was born 17 November 1900 in Pennsylvania, probably in Brooklyn Township, Susquehanna Township and died 7 October 1998 in California (Scott-Fritzen 1998: Social Security Death Index 194-22-9466). She lived with her parents on the family dairy farm in Brooklyn Township in both 1910 and 1920. According to both the 1910 and 1920 census, Lillian was in school during both census years (1910 United States Federal Census, Enumeration District 61, Brooklyn Township, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania, sheet 1B, 16 April 1910; 1920 United States Federal Census, Enumeration District 64, Brooklyn Township, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania, sheet 3A, 12 January 1920). She married after 1920, Lewis Woarth LaRue. He was born in Rush, Pennsylvania on 8 April 1900 and died March 1970 in Pennsylvania (Scott-Fritzen 1998; Social Security Death Index 197-03-1444). At the time of Lewis's death, the couple resided in the Folsolm/Milmont Park area of Delaware County, Pennsylvania. Their Social Security cards were issued in Pennsylvania. After Lewis's death, Lillian moved to Hemet, Riverside County, California. She was residing there at the time of her death (Social Security Death Index).

1371. (ii). LEE ALBA KINNEY6. was born 6 March 1930 in Brooklyn Township, Susquehanna Township, Pennsylvania. He was married three times. His first marriage to Sylvia Porter took place before 1954. He married second, on 15 October 1954, Billie Hall. Lee married his third wife, Bonnie Whitaker, on 14 January 1989 (Scott-Fritzen 1998).

1372. (iii). PATRICIA LOUISA KINNEY6. She married Thomas Gallinger, the son of Morris Thomas Gallinger and Yvonne Marie Gregory (Scott-Fritzen 1998). Children of Patricia Kinney and Thomas Gallinger:

1575. (i.). CHRISTEL LEE GALLINGER7. She married Rick D. Larsen, the son of Jack Larsen and Mary Kay Rundell (Scott-Fritzen 1998).

1576. (ii.). CYNTHIA LAVAE GALLINGER7. She married Yohn Grabow, son of Elwood Grabow and Darlyce Harmening (Scott-Fritzen 1998).
