The list below contains the names of Read family members who lived in Warren County during the nineteenth century. I have been unable to link any of these individuals into the main family tree. Abby M. Read, born circa 1844
1860 census: living with Israel and Sarah E. Sipley in Hardwick Township, possibly the daughter of Stephen Read and Keziah Force of Hope, both of whom were dead by 1860.

1900 Census: age 74; wife Hannah (Last Name Unknown), born Dec. 1826, age 74; daughter Sarah Read Hankinson, born October 1850, age 50; daughter Laura C. Read McClellan, born April 1859, age 41 married George McClellan, born May 1861, age 39. Living in Hackettstown.

1900 Census: age 38; wife Amanda (Last Name Unknown), born June 1865, age 35; living in Hackettstown.

1900 Census: age 21; husband Herman Corwin, living in Hackettstown.

1900 Census: age 30; wife Cora (Last Name Unknown) born April 1873, age 27; son Mahlon Reed, born January 1893, age 7; daughter Lizzie Reed, born February 1897, age 3; son Edgar Reed, born April 1900, age 2/12.

1850 census: age 15, living with Alvah and Elsy E. Howell in Hope Township, page 435. Probably Isaiah B. Read, son of Stephen Read and Rebecca Bennett, who died 1851, at the age of 15 or 16.

1900 Census: age 27, wife Carrie J. Gunderman, born June 1876, age 23. Occupation: Creamery foreman. Living with Carrie's mother Sarah E. Gunderman in Allamuchy Township.

1900 Census: age 15, farm hand living with George Martenes in Independence Township.

1900 Census: age 58, living alone in Hackettstown.

1900 Census: age 16, sister-in-law of James T. Vought, resided in Hardwick Township.

1900 Census: age 26, boarding with Maria Carpenter in Hackettstown.

Noah Read, born June 1829
1900 Census: age 70, wife Mary A., born Jan 1833, age 1867, living in Hackettstown.

Robert Read, born circa 1825 In New Jersey.
In 1850 Robert was a laborer working for Samuel Hunt on his farm in Green Township, Sussex County, New Jersey. He worked for William Blair in Hope Township in 1860. Robert was married by 1862. He and his wife had a daughter on 9 August 1862. The baby was born in Knowlton Township. Her birth is recorded in the Township birth records but no name is given. Robert's wife Sarah died shortly thereafter and was buried in Ramseyburg Cemetery near the village of Delaware in Knowlton Township. By 1870, Robert, who was 45 years old was working for Charles Green in Blairstown Township. In 1880, a Robert Reed, age 46 (is this age correct or should it have been 55?), lived in Oxford Township with his brother-in-law George Harris (age 41) and George's wife Estelle. It is unclear whether Robert had been married to George's sister or if Estelle was Robert's sister. However, on the 1850 census, George Harris had a sister named Sarah who was 18 yeasr old. They were the children of Nicholas and Rosanna Harris of Knowlton. Robert is listed as a widower on the 1880 census. His occupation was given as laborer.
