What's new in the PACSpage(SM)
February 2002
- Complete review of the current links, a number of them have moved or gone
away. This is/will be an ongoing project.
- I have weeded out a significant number of links that have been broken for a while. Part of the problem is that some of them
have been broken, re-acquired and have become broken again.
- Many of links on this PACSpage used to be hosted on Military servers and about 1.5 years ago, they "disappeared"
off of the web. I have since reacquired a number of the web servers they were located on, and the PACS Primer page will reflect these updates.
- Conferences -- Updated most of the conference pages to update them to the most current available (as well as the
conference listings pages).
- Societies -- Updated /added a few societies.
- PACS Sites -- Added a significant number of sites.
Keep adding those PACS Sites
- PACS Vendor pages -- General updates (moved
"broken", new links added)
- PACS Recruiter -- Added a significant number of recruiters to the page.
- Vendor Count: 315 (and increasing)

servers are no longer available, or the documents/links are no longer
available/accessible. Hopefully, many of these documents will become
"re"available
over time.

- Sorry it took so long for this release, lots of stuff still goin' on in my
life right now...

- PACS Vendor page Biggest change! I finally
got around to
reorganizing this page by vendor. Now this page is the portal to the
breakdown of
vendors. I still have the alphabetical listing, but I also have it broken
down by
categories.
Note, please if a vendor is missing, please notify, but be kind, there are
many vendors I
have not processed yet, and this is still a Works-In-Progress. I still
have a list of
vendors to review / go through.
- PACS Education page -- Added 15 more links.
- While going through all of the web sites for review to see if they should
be
placed on the PACSpage, I missed approximately 12 web addresses. I
apologize
for any site that I missed.

- Belated Happy New Year.
- Significant number of International sites have been added.
- PACS Education page -- Have jumped 25 links to
57 links over the last few months ! Almost a 44% increase in sites, including
many tutorial and presentations in non-English languages. An increase in basic
and intermediate DICOM and PACS information. If you need to learn about PACS
or DICOM or you know somebody who does -- Check out the PACSpage Education page.
