PACSpage(SM) is devoted more to PACS / DICOM than telemedicine in general....

About the PACSpage(SM)The PACSpage started as a little experiment in writing HTML, designing Web pages, setting up my company's web pages, whether or not I was able to keep up with the expansion of the PACS industry on the Web, and just trying to learn about this industry as much as I can. I first started collecting a few WWW addresses. Then, the MATMO web page took (with my permission) my Vendor Listing. Since then, the page has taken on a life of its own. I get a significant amount of traffic, which is good. This keeps me going, adding as much information as I am able to. The PACSpage has also been re-organized, to make it a little more manageable, and it will continue to grow and change. 17 Mar 97: The growth of the Medical Imaging Industry on the web has been phenomenal. As can be seen from the number of sites I have added in the last month. I am pretty diligent in looking for sites on the web. I keep a list of companies in or trying to get in the Medical Imaging / PACS business. I am constantly searching on the web for companies. But the growth in the last month, and even the last week has been fairly impressive -- a large number of new sites that showed up on the web in Feb'97. 19 May 97: The growth of the Medical Imaging Industry on the web is still going and going. I have modified the navigation bar as a table on the left side of the site. I am not thrilled with it, but it does make it more navigable. I added the "PACS Sites" page and started on the Feedback page. As I get ideas from others, or ideas magically pop into my head, or I see a need for dissemination of information, then I have been trying to put the information on my web pages. If you are wondering about the logo, and
where I have gotten it from, it is a combination of
two symbols: the "End Paragraph" marker and the symbol for Hermes. There is a reason. The
"End Paragraph" mark traditionally has meant text corresponding to a new train
of thought, and Hermes is the messenger of the gods. With the two P's representing
the two P's in PACS-page, it just seemed like a good combination. Any other meaning gleaned
from this symbol would be wrong, I know, I made it up.
HumourFound taped to a wall behind the water-cooler:
PACS definitionsOther definition for PACS, or other uses for the four letter P,A,C,S in that order.
