now I'm 31.

Single (still. That may be changing soon, although single just doesn't seem appropriate any more)

Bel Air, Maryland

Flavour of Vegetarian:

Dietary Vegan (I actually hate that term, but is most accurate, I am a dietary vegan), also use [very] Strict Vegetarian.

Years of Veggieness:

about 13 (7+ as vegan)

Reason for Vegetarianism:

I gave up meat as a sophomore in college. Just decided one day that eating meat was disgusting. Did a little research, wanted to be healthier and became vegetarian. Lost about 50 lbs weight to about where I am today. I didn't think I could stick with it, but I have. As time has gone on, the environmental, ethical, etc. issues have just fallen into place. I do not consider myself an activist, but someone who is just doing his part...

Spirituality:

Grew up Catholic. Never really big into organized religion. I believe it maybe necessary for society as a whole, just not for me. I study other religions, cultures, mythologies trying to understand other beliefs, spiritualities, etc. But, I am not a religious person.

Occupation:

Quality and Regulatory Affairs Officer. Not really an Officer, but heading up a really good team of people managing the Quality and Regulatory issues that crop up at DeJarnette, as well as all of the other things that nobody wants to do. Hobbies:

Cross stitching, Cooking, reading, gardening (indoor, houseplants -- not too successful, getting better), travelling, playing pool (billiards), shopping (not spending :-), science-fiction, computers, international studies, variety of collections. Basically, my whole Home Page pretty much covers my interests.

Musical tastes:

Celtic, New Age, Oldies (50's, 60's American contemporary/rock n' roll), light Jazz, Alternative, Reggae, African, Middle-Eastern, South-American, Western Contemporary, oh, just about anything. I can listen to about anything....
