I've been to Japan twice, and I've got long-term plans to go
back again. You may have guessed that Rohi Suru is Japanese.
That doesn't mean that I'm going to tell you what it means
here. Here are a few tourist traps I actually visited. Select
the thumbnails for a better view.

Nagoya Castle (Nagoya Jyo), 153K JPEG
On my first trip, 1990, I went to Nagoya City. I stayed with Doi-sensei,
a Dentist and his family. On a Saturday we visited Nagoya Castle,
(Nagoya Jyo) rebuilt in modern times from the original ruins.
My first Harley ride.46K JPEG
That's right, I rode motorcycles before, but the first time I rode a
Harley (a hardtail, no less), it was in Karuizawa, Japan. And here's
the photo to prove it.
The Emporer's palace in Kyoto.44K JPEG
Love that geometry. Looking through a gate.
Somewhere in Kyoto, I think.60K JPEG
Osaka Castle (Jyo) in Spring. 201K JPEG
I visited here during my second trip
to Japan, 1993, when I toured Kansai (Western Japan). I took a bus tour of Kyoto
and Nara, one in the morning, one in the afternoon. If I had to do it over
again, I would like to spend several days in each city.
My digs in Japan. 65K JPEG
This is a picture I took of a gold plated Otera (Buddhist Temple)
called Kinkakuji. It really is this beautiful.

The World's largest wooden building. 80K JPEG
If you don't believe it, take a closer look at the doors and the people. You'll
see that the doors are a little bigger then standard size. Also happens
to house the world's largest bronze Buddha.

It's been a long trip, I'm glad to get home.
